Rise and Build – The Roof Project at Bakersfield Adventist Academy
3333 Bernard Street, Bakersfield, CA
"Then I said to them, 'You see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been burned with fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace.'" – Nehemiah 2:17
Our Academy stands as a light in Bakersfield—a place where faith and learning unite, where children grow not only in wisdom but in the knowledge and love of Jesus. Yet today, our Academy's roof, the very shelter that protects these young hearts and minds, is in need of renewal.
Our Nehemiah Moment
This is our "Nehemiah moment." God calls each of us—parents, teachers, tradesmen, students, and friends—to rise up and build. Whether your gift is in skilled labor, project planning, fundraising, or simply a willing heart and pair of hands, there is a place for you in this ministry.
We Are Looking For:
Volunteers
of all backgrounds and skills
Contractors and roof specialists
willing to donate or discount services
Supporters
who can contribute financially or sponsor materials
Community members
who can share this mission and invite others to help
An Investment in Eternity
The Bakersfield Seventh-day Adventist Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and all gifts are tax-deductible. But beyond earthly benefits, this is an investment in eternity—helping a new generation to know Jesus and to serve Him through education rooted in truth.
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." – Matthew 5:16
Join Us in This Mission
If you feel moved by the Spirit, please complete the "Roof Project Sign-Up Form." You can join the effort personally or refer someone who can help. Together, as one body in Christ, we will restore the roof that shelters faith, learning, and fellowship.
And if you are new to our church family or community, this is your invitation. Come see what God is doing through our Academy. Consider becoming part of the Seventh-day Adventist faith community—or enrolling your children in a school where Christ is at the center of every classroom.
